RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 273778

Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2
Build Identifier: User-Agent: Mozilla Thunderbird 1.0.2 (Windows/20050317)

[Data loss bug/MAJOR] Thunderbird frequently stops filtering
messages, or shows a message that the filter is no longer available or
no mail folder exist for the message filter when there is a
selected/designated mail folder in the message filter.

When Thunderbird is retrieving messages and Thunderbird displays the
Alert message that it cannot filter messages to the mail folder, those
e-mails do not appear in the mail folders. Thus the e-mail(s) are now
gone (non recoverable unless you leave messages on the mail server);
lost e-mails are not recoverable via IMAP. If you exit Thunderbird,
delete the mail folder summary file, run Thunderbird, click on the mail
folder to create the summary file again, the missed e-mail(s) are no
longer present.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

I posted a message in the mozillaZine forums for Thunderbird:

http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=243987

I thought I would also open a bug report on this critical problem in
Mozilla Thunderbird.
