When clicking on a link from the hhome page from this site, the site asks for a
user ID and password . The appropriate password is supplied, but the site does
not accept, and keeps displaying the ID/password window. The site can be
accessed through Firefox, but not Camino.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to http://chronicle.com
2.enter the user ID and password
3.click okay

Actual Results:  
window rises out of screen as if theinformation has been accepted, but then
drops down again and does thsi cycle repeatedly.

Expected Results:  
accept password and user ID and let me into the site.

Without looking much into the bug...

Can you try this with one of the nightlies? If it works there, your bug may have
already been fixed.

Otherwise...

Is there a way we can get a username/password to use? Even if one developer
could have access, it'd help a lot.

The URL provided in this bug takes you directly to the homepage for higher
education without prompting for a user name or password.

No, you need to click on a link to any of the articles on chronicle.com to get
the HTTPauth dialogue (it's in the description but missing from the "steps to
repro".  However, we then need a valid Chronicle subscription to be able to test
the bug successfully.  That said, I can't imagine what Camino is doing
differently than Fx; this should be being handled somewhere in the core code.

Larry, are you accepting cookies?  Could you also test a recent nightly build to
see if the problem also exists there?
