This is a partial extract of Thunderbird's bug 2920's log telling the
customer's demand:
(I use Thunderbird 1.0 and Windows 2000)
The following problem is not solved despite of the bug 2920 log telling so.

My attachments are not deleted, the message's characteristics are changed.
There should be a solution very soon, this is n o t of last priority as
the changing protocols show.

------- Additional Comments From yoel 10/29/98 6:41 -------

Customer is not using 4.5, but since 4.5 does not provide this fuunctionality
either I've used it as an example

What the customer is doing currently:
1. Mail is in Inbox with attachment
2 [review] [edit]. MESSAGE|Edit
3. Delete attachement and Save

Problems with this current proccess:
1. Sender address is lost
2. Date & Time lost
3. Message-ID changed

What Customer wants:
The ability to delete the attachement from a message while in the inbox without
losing any of the existing attributes of the message(i.e. sender, date & time,
message-ID).

Please, feedback
Thanks

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Mail is in Inbox with attachment
2 [review].
3.

Actual Results:
1. message is copied
2. Sender address is lost
3. Date & Time lost
4. Message-ID changed
5. Attachment not deleted from original message

Expected Results:
1. leave the message within in-basket without changing any characteristics
2. have the attachment(s) deleted from the message, with or without having
   copied to another location

-> invalid
TB1.0 doesn't contain this fix. Please use a recent trunk build if you want to
test it.

BTW:
The MSG-ID must be changed (no way to do it without), Date&Time is wfm, sender
is wfm. Only the MSG-ID and Order received is different.
