If I restart the browser, the green update icon disappear and all is ok. Furtunately, the green update icon appears only sometimes, but it is still a bug. I've already disabled Software-updates in options. I've no extensions. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. the green update icon appears 2. typing a url or selecting a bookmark 3. firefox doesn't load the page

I've seen something similar in Firefox 1.0.3 (on Windows XP), however I do have extensions. When I click the green update arrow, it fails to update my FURL toolbar extension. The only way I can use Firefox is to remove the FURL extension, however even then, Firefox is still a bit flaky. The problem is definitely reproducible, however it seems to appear randomly. In case it's relevant, the full list of my extensions is: Tabbrowser 1.2.4 Wikalong 0.12 Tab X 0.5 LiveLines 0.3.3 Bloglines Toolkit 1.5.6 Foxytunes 1.1 UserAgent Switcher 0.6.5 Dictionary Search 0.9.2 Linky 2.6.0 Furl Tools 0.6 Bookmark backup 0.3.3 I didn't have any problems until Friday 22nd April 05, so I assume it's related to an update?

Closing out bugs in the old style updater, which are superseded by the new system in 1.5.
