User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; GameBar; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2

Every time I click one of my bookmarks (or paste an URL into the address bar
and click go), the browser tells me it's trying to connect with the site in
question, then after a minute or so, gives me a message saying "The operation
timed out when attempting to contact" the URL in question links to.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Click on any bookmark (or paste an URL into the address bar and click go),
2.Wait
3.

Actual Results:
tells me it's trying to connect with the site in question, then gives me a
message saying "The operation timed out...".

Expected Results:
Bring up the site whose bookmark I clicked on
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.10) Gecko/20050716
Firefox/1.0.6

Tried this one myself, WFM... are you sure that the bookmark has the URL spelled
correctly, and that the bookmarked site in question is not simply down?

sorry for bugspam, long-overdue mass reassign of ancient QA contact bugs, filter on "beltznerLovesGoats" to get rid of this mass change

This sounds like network or DNS issue on the PC this was happening on, but could also be a profile issue - please try this with a new profile and/or in safe mode and see if it still happens.

If this is still happening with a recent build (latest trunk or latest release), please reopen.
