on performing an upgrade there is a double issue with the newsgroups:
1) occasional duplication of posts being sent. ( I sent a post to:
netscape.public.mozilla.general, it was duplicated in my listing, for
approximately 1/2 second. then it disappeared )
2) now the newsgroup netscape.public.mozilla.general shows 5 unread messages in
the indicator in the reader, shows one thread ( the one the post was to ) with
unread messages. yet not one single new message is there.

this only happens when updating to newer version, saving contents of inbox.
if do a install and toss the contents there is no problems.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. update mozilla suite to latest stable release to save contents of inbox.

Actual Results:  
invisbile new messages ( according to indicator ) in newsgroups

Expected Results:  
shown no new messages
