when i use the print preview in Thunderbird, Firefox and Suit, while my printer
is set to the highest resolution (300*600 dpi), the layout of the preview ist
totaly mixed up. When i print, all images are either scaled half or doubled
width depending on the format (landscape, portrait).
In preview, the layout looks either upset (in portait) or emerged (in
landscape). Also portrait and landscape are interchanged in preview. So portrait
looks like landscape in preview, but prints in portait as expected.
This bug could be reproduced by simply chnaging the dpi of my printer.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set printer to 300*600 dpi
2. Use print preview

Actual Results:
Layout in print preview is distorted, images are printed descaled.

Expected Results:
work properly :-P

This seems to be a printer driver problem.

I was ask to update this bug, because the problem still exists.

Well, i want to add some more details and also 3 images, that will show all this
it looks like.

First, my printer:
It's an older Model, "Lexmark Color Jetprinter 1020".
It's able to print at either 300*300dpi odr 600*300dpi. The problem occurs only
if the printer is set to 600*300dpi.
The drivers are for WinXP.

The example images:
The images are all made from the print previw and display the preview at
'landscape' - even if it doesn't look like that on the 2nd image.

The first image is a screenshot of the webside as it was created by me.:

The second image shows the print preview, while the resolution of the printer is
set to 300*600dpi. It *is* landscape!:

The third image is a reproduction i made to display the printed webside at
600*300dpi. It's almost 100% identical.:

The HTML-document i used for this can be found at:

The same problem is with the portrait size. But, because it looks even more
weird, i just took a screenshot of the print preview at 600*300dpi.:

As already said; the problem occurs only, if the printer is set to 600*300dpi.
And, it only occurs in FireFox and Thunderbird (&Suit?), not in other applikations.

O hope, this is enough, to describe the problem proper.

Mozilla 1.7 is retired. What kind of printer do you have that can be set to 300*600 DPI? I can't reproduce this bug.
