Go to the above url and adjust browser window width such that the content area
does not fit and a horizontal scrollbar appears. The background of the content
below the top menu should remain fixed. Instead it scales with the window width
and also moves to the left. This is a problem only in the nightly build. It
works fine in 0.83 and Firefox.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to www.macworld.com
2. reduce window width so that a horizontal scroll bar appears
3.

Actual Results:  
content background gets scaled with window width and moves to the left.

Expected Results:  
background should have stayed fixed.

I just checked the latest nighly build of mozilla and it has the same problem. I
guess I filed this bug in the wrong place then.

Moving to Core. Probably not Mac specific so a test on Windows or Linux would be
good.

Reproduced on 20050324 but it is sliding not scaling.

Reproduced the bug on the mozilla nightly build (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux
i686; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050403) on Red Hat Linux 9.

On windows 2000, 
firefox build 20040430 works fine (the background image does not shrink)
firefox build 20040502 has this regression.

I grabbed both builds from http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/

INCOMPLETE due to lack of activity since the end of 2009.

If someone is willing to investigate the issues raised in this bug to determine whether they still exist, *and* work with the site in question to fix any existing issues, please feel free to re-open and assign to yourself.
