I think "Allow web sites to install software" should be reworded as something like "Allow selected web sites to install software". It makes the "Allowed Sites" button seem more sensible somehow.
I completely agree with this, this label is currently completely unclear. If you look above it, we have: - Block Popup Windows [Allowed Sites] By having this ticked, it means all popup windows are blocked, except for the sites specified. Then below we have: - Allow websites to install software [Allowed Sites] This is similar in that it blocks websites from installing software unless they are specified. Yet 'Allow' is the complete opposite to 'Block'. This needs to be changed immediately.

This also might need a reference to the update functionality of Firefox (automatic software update), which is currently blocked if this is disabled. (See related bug 288054 for details of the problem.) Personally, I'd reword it to something like: "Allow selected websites to install software on request and activate AutoUpdate."

sorry for bugspam, long-overdue mass reassign of ancient QA contact bugs, filter on "beltznerLovesGoats" to get rid of this mass change
