With linux trunk 20050403, many of the images at the URL show the top part of the image repeated in the bottom part. If I put a window over the image and then remove the window, the image looks fine. This regressed between linux suite trunk builds 2005032805 and 2005032905. The only thing in that range that looks like a possibility is bug 286813.

with this testcase, if I hit shift-reload enough times, at least one of the images will have the top part repeated in the bottom. I'll attach a screenshot.

That is very strange.

I'm not seeing the bug in windows, but it might be worth to know, that I (almost every time) see for a fraction of a second a small white line approximately at the same height as where the testcase image is repeated.

I'm also noticing that (for the images that are broken) there's a white line on the right side inside the blue border.
Could this be impact from bug 254659?

This bug sucks and a patch would be nice, but I don't think we have the manpower to block on it.

I think this is a 1.8 layout regression that we should really try to fix in 1.8...

Does this affect trunk Firefox (GTK2) builds?
It can manifest on trunk, I think, although I don't usually see it. It's really difficult to fix because the GTK image scaling code is really broken. I want to just ignore it --- the new Thebes graphics code will make this go away by itself.

Hey Andrew,
Can you still reproduce this issue? The test case doesn't open anything for me.
