i don't want a sent folder. my incoming messages either automatically filter
somewhere other than inbox, or i move them manually. whenever i reply or
compose a new message, i move the sent message to go with the rest of the
conversation. i don't like that i always have to do this.

i want my sent messages to be filed in whatever folder was open at the moment i
pressed reply or compose.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Duplicate of Core bug 177040?
almost, but not quite. seems in that bug they presume that you might want to
copy the sent messages elsewhere, but they still also go to the sent folder.

i say the "sent" folder is useful when you go looking to see whether you sent a
message to someone or not, but it does not provide a well organized history of
my participation in various conversations.

but the current "sent" folder implementation is not even reliable for finding
sent messages, since messages can be moved out of it.

from my point of view, the "sent" folder should be a virtual folder, that finds
and lists sent messages regardless of what other folder they might have been
moved into.

simply said, i want my sent messages to go into whatever folder i have open when
i press "reply" or "compose". it should go there immediately, and there should
be some indication whether it is unsent (a draft) or a sent message.

bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
