hi, I contact to register as a Galician (Galego) language translator (I am the
coordinator of a new Galicia translation team).
In the summary of languages appear Jacobo Tarrio as the translator, but I
emailed (jtarrio@trasno.net) him and he told me that he will not continue with
the work (his last contribution was a year ago), so we want to continue the
Galician translation of Thunderbird.

thanks

Reproducible: Always
Hi Mariano,
could you provide us the status of your localization as well as tell us
something about the situation with the other "Firefox" team (as noted at your
mozdev page).

Due to Trademark Policy [1] the only way how to localize Firefox/Thunderbird is
to form one official localization team [2], prepare the locales files [3] and
commit them to the Mozilla.org CVS server [4].

Since Firefox and Thunderbird have lots of files in common, there is a need for
one localization team and cooperation. There can be different people in
different modules (browser/mail/toolkit) involved though.

At least one of the team member should have a CVS account. To get CVS account
you need to fill a new bug and provide your ssh public key [5], send the form
[6] and attach/link your files - see bug 263726 as an example.

Summary: Galician (gl-ES): Thunderbird → [gl-ES] Galician: Thunderbird
Hi Pavel:

I work with Mariano Grueiro in localization mozilla apps, but he is very busy
at the moment and he can work on localization of mozilla apps.

At this moment we have translated Firefox 2.0, Thunderbird 2.0, Thunderbird
1.5, Sunbird 0.5 to galician language.

We have submitted two issues:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368055
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=282997

And we can't still submit our translations because we dont have a coordinator. (I spoke to mariano, and he can't be at this time, but I can)

Can you help us, please???

Thanks

I wanted to say that "he CAN'T work on localization"
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368055#c6

I am not going to continue with the work. I leave the work.
Please see the comments in bug 368055 regarding the future of Galician localisation.

No response after a month; closing the bug as INCOMPLETE. If anyone reading
this is interested in localising Mozilla products into this language, we'd love
to hear from you! Please file a new bug about it.

Thanks,

Gerv
