User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en) AppleWebKit/125.5.6 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/125.12 Build Identifier: Sunbird/0.2 Gecko/20050203 (Note: some improvements may occur as a result of bug #236551) A client with 15-minute appointments is trying to use Sunbird, generally with success. However, as the day view is fixed in height, and he uses a standard screen size (1024x768), a fifteen-minute appointment event is unreadable in the at-a-glance day view. Obviously, mousing over the events works, but this defeats the purpose! This kind of behavior - exacerbated for many short appointments - would benefit hugely from being able to set the height of hours in the day view. If the hour boundaries showed the resize cursor when moused over, and a resize applied to every hour, this would allow a "day view" to be twice the height of the visible calendar window, making calendars far more useful at-a-glance. This would also be of great benefit to those with smaller screens. Logging as a feature request, although "unreadable text" (short events clip the title) is imho a bug. If the title could be displayed whatever the height of the event, that would in many ways be a nicer - and easier - fix, but prone to cause more issues with multiple chronologically adjacent events. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a 15-minute (or shorter) event 2. Resize the calendar window to smaller than 1280x1024 Actual Results: The title of the event is clipped to the bounds of the (very short) event box as the day scales to fit the window Expected Results: Either: - Set a minimum day view height, scrolling the window beyond this point - Draw the first line of titles whatever the event size - Allow configuration of day view hour-height or total-height - Show events proportionally only up to a minimum height

See attached image for demonstration (2 30 minute tasks). Another suggested fix: Make the height of the table cell(s) autofit the text height.

Two 30-minute tasks, with text cropped at the bottom
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20061006 Sunbird/0.3Bug 366989 (Grid controls) is working on ways to 'zoom-in' (expand grid cells; decrease hours in view) and 'zoom-out' (shrink grid cells; increase hours in view).
