Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0; .NET CLR 1.0.3705)
Build Identifier: http://www.mozilla.org/products/mozilla1.x/sysreq.html

OS: SuSE 9.0; glibc 2.3.2-88; gtk 1.2.10-710; XFree86 4.3.0; libstdc++ 3.3.1.
Downloaded suite to dir /usr/local/mozilla.x; SUed as root. After untarring,
entering './mozilla-installer' results in the following messages:
Xlib:Connection to ":0.0" refused by server.
Xlib:No protocol specified
Gtk-Warning**:cannot open display ":0.0"

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install SuSE 9.0
2. SU to root
3. Create directory /usr/local/mozilla (or mozilla.x)
4. Download Mozilla Suite to new directory.
5. Untar package.
6. Enter './mozilla-installer'
7. Read error messages.

Actual Results:
Same as reporte above

Expected Results:
I had expected the Mozilla Suite to have been installed.
can you run any X apps after su to root? like xclock?
ajschult@verizon.net was kind enough to point out the error of my ways...this
was not a bug after all...merely a loose nut on the keyboard.
