Details
With the advent of RSS feeds in Thunderbird, we now have an example where people
frequently (and, in fact, as a primary usage of a major feature) view external
HTML in Thunderbird.
As a result, the need for an extension to block ads in Thunderbird has become
acute. AdBlock, of course, is the natural extension to use for this, but they
claim that bugs in Thunderbird are preventing them from making the extension work.
In particular, one such bug is bug 245361 (see
http://aasted.org/adblock/viewtopic.php?t=669#3816). However, that bug is
fundamentally about a more narrow problem. This bug is a more global request to
make it possible for AdBlock to work on Thunderbird.
Requesting 1.1 blocking (perhaps futilely :-).

I forgot about this bug, sorry. As I said in bug 245361, Adblock developers are wrong on this. Adblock Plus works with Thunderbird now and so far there don't seem to be any issues. Resolving WORKSFORME.
