Adding putterman@netscape.com,bienvenu@netscape.com to cc.
Scott, David, is this a dup of one of your bugs?

Maybe. What build is this on?

The image indicates that the 2nd vowel "ø" is missing. The
1st vowel seems to be showing as Korean Wong (currency) symbol.
Can't tell from the image but it's either \u20A9 or the full-width
equivalent at \uFFE6.

I just used 2/23/2000 Win32 build and created a folder with
the problem name. It got created OK and the display is OK.
I restarted Mozilla and the folder still displayed OK.
Was this a pre-existing folder you migrated from 4.x? or one
that you created new?
Another reason I can think of is some special font you have on your
system.

Just to clarify.
The folders are created with a webmail application!
Thereafter I access the same mailbox with Mozilla IMAP.
Using the latest build.
I can verify that if I create a folder named "фье" through Mozilla with New ->
Folder the folder is created ok and shows ok.

Gemal, does this webmail application convert folder names from
Latin 1 into modified UTF-7 encoding as it creates folders, which is
what is required by IMAP4? See this RFC:
ftp://ftp.isi.edu/in-notes/rfc2060.txt

If I create a folder named "זרו" folder with Mozilla the folder is actually
created as "&AOYA+ADl"
The problem is that the folder created with the webmail application is named
"זרו"

yes, you're right. The web mail application is not imap utf-7 encoding the
folder name. I'm surprised the imap server lets that happen. I don't think
this is a client bug. Marking invalid.
