Crash Data

User-Agent:       Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; pl-PL; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050406 Firefox/1.0.2 (Debian package 1.0.2-3)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; pl-PL; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050406 Firefox/1.0.2 (Debian package 1.0.2-3)

I've imported my profile from Thunderbird running under Windows 2000 into
Thunderbird running under GNU/Linux Debian (unstable), following this guide:
http://www.mozilla.org/support/thunderbird/profile#move. It went well, with an
exception that when I try to reply on a mail, Thunderbird crashes with following
console output:
adamk@adamk:~$ mozilla-thunderbird
selected locale: pl-PL
DOUBLE-CLICK: 400 --> -1 THRESHOLD: 8 --> -1 /usr/lib/mozilla-thunderbird/run-mo
zilla.sh: line 159:  9650 Segmentation Fault  "$prog" ${1+"$@"}
adamk@adamk:~$

(I'v translated erro message from polish to english, here is the original one
for the sake of completeness:
adamk@adamk:~$ mozilla-thunderbird
selected locale: pl-PL
DOUBLE-CLICK: 400 --> -1 THRESHOLD: 8 --> -1 /usr/lib/mozilla-thunderbird/run-mo
zilla.sh: line 159:  9650 Naruszenie ochrony pamięci  "$prog" ${1+"$@"}
adamk@adamk:~$
)

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
I should work ;)
Adam Klobukowski: Could you reproduce this crash with build from Mozilla.org? If
yes, please provide Talkback incident ID for your crash.

BTW which version of Thunderbird do you use?
Severity: normal → critical
Keywords: crash
Thunderbird version was 1.02 from Dabian package.

I've retested it with build from Mozilla.org, and I had similar results:

adamk@adamk:~$ adamk@adamk:~/Thunderbird$ ./thunderbird
*** loading the extensions datasource
*** loading the extensions datasource
./run-mozilla.sh: line 159:  9852 Naruszenie ochrony pamiêci  "$prog" ${1+"$@"}

Additiona note:

The same thing happen when I rty to pen main page of an account setup in account
setup window (the bold item):

~$ mozilla-thunderbird
selected locale: pl-PL
DOUBLE-CLICK: 400 --> -1 THRESHOLD: 8 --> -1
/usr/lib/mozilla-thunderbird/run-mozilla.sh: line 159: 17337 Naruszenie ochrony
pamiêci  "$prog" ${1+"$@"}
I've edited prefs.js. I removed all paths with windows-style paths (C:\...) and
everything is working well, ie. I can reply to mail without problem.
