That should already be the case : bug 189289. Reporter, are you seeing bug 248758 (when you use a filter to mark a message as junk, and not the built-in junk-classification) ? Or bug 233930 (when you filter to a different folder) ?

This is another case. It is for new mail in IMAP folder. It arrives and is not moved (for some reasons, do want to move them), it is marked as junk BUT I receive a notification which I do not want.

That's because notification for the IMAP folders occurs before the message has had a chance to be processed as junk.
Summary: Do not send an alert when junk mail arrives → Do not send an alert when junk mail arrives in IMAP folder

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter. This bug should be re-opened. Notifying on junk mail should be an error. Notification should not occur until all processing has completed so as to avoid this error.

I believe this is fixed in 1.5, so please don't re-open it w/o trying 1.5 beta 2. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 282477 ***
