View this site in Internet Explorer 5.0, then in Mozilla 5.0 and you'll see the problem. When the page is first loaded, text comes scrolling in from the sides in IE, but not in Mozilla; in fact it doesn't display at all. I don't know what exactly is causing this problem, but it looks like it's in a JavaScript function. Also, in IE the body tag has an attribute of bgproperties="fixed" which isn't supported by Mozilla. What it does is allows the background image to stay fixed while the rest of the window scrolls with the scrollbars.
craiglance@hotmail.com, what build of Mozilla were you using? M13 or later (the build ID appears at the right hand end of the status bar at the bottom of the browser window)? Thanks. It appears that the animation of the page contents is done by a javascript animation loaded from a separate file; the js code may or may not be standards-compliant (Mozilla only supports standatds-compliant code). See http://sites.netscape.net/ekrock/answers.html#DOM and http://sites.netscape.net/ekrock/answers.html#js As for the moving background image, it ought to be possible to do this with CSS, but there never has been a standard HTML BODY attribute of bgproperties and there certainly is not in the HTML 4.01 spec, http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/struct/global.html#h-7.5.1 In the future, please put only one issue in each bug report... see http://www.mozilla.org/quality/bug-writing-guidelines.html ... Thanks again. This will belong in one of the "DOM" components if it is not invalid due to nonstandard js - trying "DOM Level 0".

The external script does indeed use document.all and as sidr@albedo.net said the fixed background is done in a non-standard way. Marking invalid.
