*** Bug 297456 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

Still problem with

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20051122 SeaMonkey/1.5a

./configure --disable-optimize --enable-debug='-g3 -O0' --enable-debug-modules=all --enable-debugger-info-modules --enable-detect-webshell-leaks --enable-svg --enable-svg-renderer-libart --enable-image-decoders=all --with-qtdir=/usr/qt/3 --enable-application=suite --disable-freetype2 --enable-default-toolkit=gtk2 --enable-xft --disable-gssapi

Still a problem. It seems this can be traced to the ‾ (¯) not being "stretchy". It also doesn't help to put the stretchy="true" attribute on the <mo>. The same is true for the other overline character, ̅

Why is this still unconfirmed?
Also, _ is not displayed at all. (someone change the summary for me?)
Summary: math: <mo>‾</mo> not displayed correctly → math: <mo>‾</mo> and also &UnderBar not displayed correctly
Still an issue with current trunk build.
Depends on: 315979
Still an issue in current cvs HEAD build:

./configure --disable-optimize --enable-debug='-g3 -O0 -ggdb' --enable-debug-modules=all --enable-debugger-info-modules --enable-detect-webshell-leaks --disable-svg --enable-image-decoders=all --with-qtdir=/usr/qt/3 --enable-application=suite --disable-freetype2 --enable-jprof --enable-default-toolkit=gtk2 --enable-xft --disable-gssapi

Yes, I see underbarbar under one of the x characters through Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.23) Gecko/20090929 SeaMonkey/1.1.18.

No, it is rendered wrong for me through Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.23) Gecko/20090929 SeaMonkey/1.1.18. Probably that presumed fix has not landed in this branch yet.

Normally the underbar should cover the whole text not only a single x.

The bugs Karl mentioned seem to be targeted for mozilla 1.9
