Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050410 Firefox/1.0+
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050410 Firefox/1.0+
Using the all 1.0 and 1.0.x builds the old Plugins button has check mark boxes
next to the file type. This allows a user to disable the use of that plugin and
thus get a normal download dialog.
I find this very helpful for movie files such as wmv because sometimes I don't
want to view the file right then.
In the new prefs (Prefs V ?) which was added recently in the Trunk you can no
longer get a normal download dialog for predefined extensions.
The Option: Save them on my computer should be remarked "Remove from list?" or
"Ask me what to do"
Sorry this is my first bug report and some of the things in it changed as I was
testing because I had not thoroughly investigated it until now. Again "Mia Culpa".
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select an extension from the list (aka wmv)
2. Change it to Save them on my computer
3. Click okay
4. Return to the list
Actual Results:
wmv is removed from the list, and as I wanted wmv now asks me if I want to save
the file or play it.
Expected Results:
wmv should still be in the list and my expectation was to have a dialog asking
where to save to.
I would most prefer if the item was renamed "Ask me what to do" and keeps the
item in the list.

Just tried another clean copy and clean profile, and what I said is not always
reproduceable. Now it works correctly, such as the "Save them to mmy computer"
works as expected.
But the thing that is unexpected is the Remove Action button being gray until I
change an option in the pref for that file type. Shouldn't the Remove Action
button always be avaliable?
As I have seen now there are some bugs here considering the inconsistent behavior.

There's an existing bug on Remove Action being disabled on plugins, other than
that I can't reproduce.

I had searched and couldn't find a similar bug, so sorry if this is a dupe.
here is the similar bug https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=284100

Duping. If you can reliably reproduce the accidental removal and can provide
steps for others to reproduce, please file a new bug on just that issue.
