When using the file-attachment dialog to select a file to attach to a new
message, the selection window does not display extensions on filenames, even
though extensions are visible in standard MS-WIndows file-management tools
(Windows Explorer and My Computer).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a new message.
2.left-click in attachment pane, or right-click in attachment pane and choose
Attach File.
3.Look in selection window: file extensions are not visible.

Actual Results:
Extensions on filenames (e.g., .exe, .zip, .pdf) are not displayed.

Expected Results:
Filename extensions should be displayed, or should follow the preference
established for other MS-Windows file dialogs. Not being able to see the
extensions on filenames is a potential security hazard, and is certainly an
inconvenience. Extensions were displayed in Mozilla 1.7.3, which I used prior to
updating to 1.7.6; this is an unexpected change in behavior.

I use the Modern theme, as I have been doing in 1.7.3 (where extensions were
displayed).
This works for me with Moz 1.7.6, Win2K. The actual code for populating that
listbox and displaying the contents is Windows code, rather than anything custom
to Mozilla.

bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
