Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a shortcut to a folder (local folder or networked) 2. open any webpage and choose an image to save locally 3. right click > save image as... 4. find your folder shortcut 5. double-click shortcut. It will ask to overwrite the .lnk file instead of providing a shortcut to the folder. Actual Results: Dialog asking to confirm overwriting of *.lnk file Expected Results: Gone to the folder that is referenced in the shortcut

See Bug 283730 "Save As" dialog tries to overwrite link/shortcut (.lnk) file instead of opening the directory/folder" and Bug 271732 "COMMAND.COM is overwritten by downloading the pif file" It is not my platform, but I suspect that this report is dup of something!
