scrollbar keeps jumping back when you are (allmost) 100% right (dir ltr)

Aha! This only happens when the statusbar becomes to small for the extensions in
it. Try forcastfox for example (this one takes a lot of space).

Not exactly a core layout issue.  This is how the XUL box model works; it's up
to the XUL consumer (Firefox in this case) to prevent these situations from
happening.
