Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050321 Firefox/1.0.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050321 Firefox/1.0.2 everytime I installed an update via the automatic update in firefox, there was a new entry in the windows software list (thats how it is called in german. it where you can remove software). After installing all updates since 0.92 I had I think 5 entrys for firefox. I deinstalled only one of them. All other entrys just showed an error and quited when i tried to deinstall it after deeinstalling one of them (i think becasue all the fiels are in the same folder for all versions). I am not sure but I think this is not the case for the thunderbird update, but i don't remember how I installed the thunderbird updates. I think not firefox itself but the installer has to be fixed to just change the existing software entry rather then making a new one. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.install an old version of firefox 2.perform the automatic update 3. Actual Results: there are more then one entrys in the widnows software list for different versions of firefox Expected Results: there should be only one entry for the newest version you installed
