User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2 Flash Player 7.0.19.0 + Firefox When Flash loads an external MovieClip or jpg, it can listen to some handlers, that determine when loading has start, finished or wether there is a load error. The "onLoadError" handler gets invoked when Flash cannot find the target file to be loaded. Apparently, this handler gets invoked correctly in all browsers I tested, except Firefox. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: -- Requires familiarity with Flash MX 2004 and ActionScript 2.0 -- 1. Create a flash movie to load an external jpg using the MovieClipLoader class 2. Create a listener object with the onLoadError handler 3. Load a file which does not exist Actual Results: Despite searching for a non-existent file, the onLoadError event doesn't get triggered. Expected Results: Flash is looking for a file which does not exist, therefore it invokes the "onLoadError" handler. Flash probably relies on the Browser for http requests. I think the problem may be in the way the browser returns a "load error" whiah the Flash Player doesnt like! This problem can affct 90% of flash sites out there!!! Most complex flash sites load content dinamically, and often content is not found... if that function is not invoked, flash waits endlessly for a return from the server...

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01". This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code. While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug (given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more reproduction information if you have it. If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved. Thank you for your help in this matter.
