Description

[sairuh (rarely reading bugmail)]

crashes in nsQueryElementAt::operator are amongst the top 10 (6th as of last
night's tb reports) for Thunderbird 1.0.2.

many of the user comments (will attach soon) say that the crash occurred during
import (migration? unclear), or while building summary files.

you meant for 1.1 right sarah? we don't have any plans for a 1.0.3 unless there
is a security issue. Even then we'd just be looking at security fixes.

interesting, this crash doesn't even appear on the list (top38) for topcrashers
on the Tbird trunk! so I'm going to clear the 1.1-trunk nomination, if that's okay.

I had originally meant to nominate for the branch, since that's where I saw the
reports. instead of 1.0.3, though, let me tentatively set this for 1.0.4 --just
in case there is such a release.

the 10th highest topcrash has a similar stack trace starting in
nsMsgLocalMailFolder::OnStopRunningUrl --although the users seem to encounter
the crash by various means. will attach the full stack and user comments...

Just to be clear when flagging Bug #288990 as a duplicate of this bug: All the
information shown for this bug relates to the Windows operating system. While
this may in fact BE the same bug as reported here, Bug #288990 was filed based
on crashing and errant behavior in Thunderbird (TB) 1.0.1 running on Mac OS X
10.3.8.

removing nomination after discussion with jay, since there aren't clear steps to
repro, and we don't know about having a 1.0.4 yet (if at all). if it crops up in
the trunk, then (per mscott in comment 3), we can nominate for 1.1. sorry for
the bugspam.
