If a CSS rule specifying that an image should be floated is in the style cascade but is overridden by a more specific rule that sets float: none, the image is not floated, but it becomes a block element rather than an inline element.

Reporter, can you please attach screenshots to show what it should look like and what it does look like? Also, have you tried the testcase with the latest nightly (1.1beta) build? http://ftp.uni-erlangen.de/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/

Only for me, IE6 and Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050414 Firefox/1.0+ render the testcase exactly the same.

wfm in recent firefox trunk.
Well, darn. I made the silly assumption that if the bug had been in there for so long, it probably hadn't been fixed recently, but it has. WFM in Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050414 Firefox/1.0+.

If you know how this bug was fixed it should probably be a duplicate of the bug that fixed this. Otherwise, this is WORKSFORME. Please don't resolve as FIXED if you don't know what fixed it.
