User-Agent:       Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2

Under tools-options-saved pws-view saved pws it lists username as "<>" in field
rather than desired userid. Does not autofill name or password as a result.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Save ID and PW on truview's site.
2. Reload site's start page. No pw or id.
3.

Actual Results:
Same as described above.

Expected Results:
Do it's job. List userid and pw.
The problem here is not with Firefox. The login is implemented in an odd way -
the User Name field is in one form, and the Password field in a second form, and
Javascript is used to match them up and submit the login details. Password
Manager stores only the password because, as far as Firefox is concerned, the
User Name field is in an unrelated form.

I suggest that you contact the staff who maintain the site, and ask if they can
alter the page to use a more normal login, since this approach is utterly
pointless as far as I can see.

For reference, the HTML for the forms is below.

<form name="userid" onSubmit="xferFocus(this); return false;">
    <tr>
        <td align="right" width="40%"><span
class="text10"><B>User&nbsp;Name:</B></span></td>
        <td width="60%">
            <span class="text10">
                <script language="JavaScript1.2">
                document.writeln("<input class=\"textform\" type=\"text\"
name=\"user\" size=\"" + size + "\" tabindex=1 onFocus=\"hadFocus(true);\">");
                </script>
            </span>
        </td>
    </tr>
</form>
<form name="cplogin" action="https://truview.truman.edu/cp/home/login"
onSubmit="login(); return false;" method="post">
    <tr>
        <td align="right"><span class="text10"><B>Password:</B></span></td>
        <td>
            <span class="text10">
                <script language="JavaScript1.2">
                document.writeln("<input class=\"textform\" type=\"password\"
name=\"pass\" size=\"" + size + "\" tabindex=2 onFocus=\"hadFocus(true);\">");
                </script><input type="hidden" name="user" value="">
            </span>
        </td>
    </tr>
</form>

highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
