User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040906 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050321 Firefox/1.0.2 Occasionally a horizontal scrollbar is missing on the bottom of a frame, while the vertical scrollbar never has this problem. Using the vertical scrollbar does not make the horizontal scrollbar appear, but even the most modest resize attempt (1 pixel) to the window make the scrollbar appear. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Hard to tell: Maybe you'll need a multi-frame document with content of (the rightmost?) frame being wider (maybe 20%) than will fit into the frame region. Maybe a verrtical scrollbar is also required. Actual Results: Obviously the rightmost part of the frame's content is not visible, but also there's no scrollbar displayed Expected Results: Whenever the content won't fit into the frame, scrollbars should appear. As soon as the window is resized, the missing scrollbar appears.

Do you have any exaple url's where this problem can be observed ?

Please provide an example or url. I'm marking this WORKSFORME. When you provide a testcase or url, this can be reopened. And please, also test with a trunk (1.8a) build, then.

It seems there is a general problem of getting the lower area of a multi-frame window right. I'll add two attachments to show. Unfortunately I cannot provide a test-case. I can only show the effect (Firefox 1.0.4 BTW).

Thanks for the screenshots, Ulrich. This looks like the same bug as bug 285445. Can you reproduce this with the steps in bug 285445, Ulrich?

(In reply to comment #6) > Can you reproduce this with the steps in bug 285445, Ulrich? Actually I found this minimal procedure: 1) On a tab with a scrollbar select "close all other tabs" and verify the scrollbar still looks complete. 2) Press ^T to open a new tab, switch to that (empty) tab 3) When switching back to the original tab, the "down tip" of the scrollbar is gone.

Ok, most likely a duplicate of bug 285445, then.

Ulrich, if you can test this again when bug 285445 gets fixed, that would be great. (you can download nightly trunk builds here: http://ftp.scarlet.be/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/ )
Depends on: 285445

The problem is still there with firefix 1.0.6

Yes, the fix for bug 285445 hasn't been checked in on the branch (and probably won't be). You have to test with the nightly trunk build to see if this has been fixed, see comment 9.
