It would be nice if we could aid the user in finding the xforms.xpi, if the user opens a document with XForms content without having the XPI installed. Ideas: * something like the "plugin-finder" (?) functionality * delivering a small dummy XTF factory for the XForms namespace with the default build, that somehow (via a message, document content, ?) directs the user to the xforms.xpi

A small dummy XTF factory would work - we could replace the xforms content with some HTML saying you need to install xforms.

I haven't looked at this, no. What we need would be a dummy xtf service for the xforms namespace, which would I guess display an dialog or error page that xforms is needed, click here to get it or such. I guess we could reuse the infobar, not sure if c++ can invoke it though. Obviously we would need driver approval for this before we started work.
