290510 - paint regression - scaled images

Scaled images stop painting properly sometimes (reliably with the testcase in
the url). 2005030405 works properly, and 2005030506 definitely doesn't.

Paper, the fix for bug 284716 is my first guess, since this issue is
Windows-only....

What am I meant to be seeing in the testcase. It loaded fine for me, all the
pictures looked fine too.

Yes, at a preliminary glance, I'd say this is bug 284978.  I won't have time
this weekend (Japan time) to check for sure, but there's a 99% chance.   For
those with source, you can try the patch in bug 284978.
