Reproducible: Always

1.only go on the given web site and try a download
2.
3.

Actual Results:
the download still doesnt work! i receive the same errormessage as mentioned

Expected Results:
the downloadmanager should open and i could choose the target directory for the
download

i am using a sony vaio notebook vgn-fs115m with windows xp professional
servicepack 2, i tried the download via my wlan network.
on my other pc in the same network with firefox 1.0.2 the download on the same
website works, i think i depends on the new firefox version 1.0.3
- but not all downloads will stopped like this, some currently work very well
eg.
http://www.zdnet.de/downloads/prg/4/0/en10066740_is-wc.html
the download there still works fine
Reporter:
Do you use a firewall on your system ?

"- but not all downloads will stopped like this, some currently work very well"
That is no surprise because the error message is from the ftp protocol and
yourother link is http
WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414
Firefox/1.0.3 and Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.7)
Gecko/20050414 Firefox/1.0.3
ok but the ftp port from my firewall is open :(
The ftp port is 21 but not for the Ftp data connection.
Do you get this if you disable your firewall ?
Works all fine for me. Probably a firewall problem?
This wfm using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b2)
Gecko/20050416 Firefox/1.0+ . If you get more information that could concern
firefox for this problem please reopen.
