Firefox 1.0.3 today. I have been successfully using Firefox (1 -1.0.2) up until now. However, now Firefox loads to an empty page albeit one that has the right name for the site on top. The URL window is empty. I can't access the search panel either. I removed the localstore.rdf as suggested in another help section and restarted Firefox. Same problem. If i use the print page command, the page prints as normal. It's just invisible on the screen. I restarted the computer altogether and Firefox then opened okay but once quit the problem returns. No other browser is affected, just Firefox Thanks in advance for any help. Reproducible: Always

Did you try to disable all installed Firefox extensions ? (or using the Firefox safemode, don't know if that exists on OS X)
This sounds exactly like what is happening to me after installing Firefox 1.0.3 on a Windows Xp + SP2 with all patches. The menus are all disabled, apart from the check for updates button. So if there is another way to disable extensions I would be grateful to know? I also tried uninstalling firefox and reinstalling, but my old extensions are still retained somehow as they are still searched for during the new updates search.
Safe mode in Windows XP fixed it for me :-) when I reread Comment #1

This has happened to me under Slackware Linux 10.1 and under Windows XP SP2.

no response form reporter -> invalid This is usually caused by installed and broken extensions (use the safemode to uninstall this broken extensions. Safemode is just Firefox without extensions).
