Hit any FTP site. Files show size and time but not date. I see someone posted a
feature rquest for sort buttons in FTP view. I second that motion. Right now
Firefox's FTP browser is too basic to be useful.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Hit ftp://www.rblevin.net
2. Look at the results.
Actual Results:
No date stamp visible.

Expected Results:
Shown the file/folder creation date, along with name, size, time.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050416
Firefox/1.0+
I also see no datestamps.
worksforme linux trunk en-US, 1.0.2 fi-FI; with both I get e.g.
    SA.exe 4537 KB 21.02.103 16:00:00
when LANG=fi_FI.UTF-8, and
    SA.exe 4537 KB 02/21/03 16:00:00
when LANG=C. ftp(1) gets
    220 maywood-is-0005 Microsoft FTP Service (Version 5.0).
    Remote system type is Windows_NT.
    02-21-03 04:00PM 4645376 SA.exe
So everything's good except for the "year 103" bit on LANG=fi_FI.UTF-8. Similar
stuff against a Microsoft FTP Service v5 server reported in bug 223422, but that
server (download.nvidia.com) talks to me all different

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a

you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.

Still a bug.

This bug has plagued me since I started using Firefox - although I rarely visit FTP sites. (most recently ran into this again when downloading drivers from a manufacturer's website - all that shows is the time (HH:MM). I quickly switched to IE to see the dates.

There is still a bug, but somewhat different it might be
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=206214

in stead of a date:
22.04.2007 11:56
it gives:
10.06.1946 11:56:00

I don't know how it gets that date but it's incorrect and useless.

ftp.mcafee.com
is another example of malfunctioning dates.
