This site reports being able to get information from my PC such as the internal
LAN IP number. This is done via JAVA. Disabling JAVA solves the intrusion, but
other applets I wish to exercise also stop working.
I am not sure whether tis is a serious issue. I also was unable to find earlier
reports of same.
Sorry is this is a non issue.

This isn't an issue at all. And surely nothing to do with Firefox in the first
place. The java-applet can indeed retrieve some information from your local PC,
but only the non-sensitive info. It can't read your files for example. It's not
spyware.
