On [for example] page http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=16,
there is some weird rendering of the words "Just Starting your design" in the
top bar of the page. (See red circle in attached file). The letters seem to have
different sizes, and the words become hard to read. Browse around SitePoint to
see that the text in that space is always hard to read due to letter weirdness.
The bug appears in FireFox, but not in Mozilla, hence I have no better place to
file it than here. Please move to wherever it is suited.
Reproducible: Always

The red circle shows where the problem occurs. It's the same across the entire
site and many others.

I've seen this effect on Wikipedia. It was always intermittent, but I don't
think I've seen it al all for a while. It may be fixed in the nightlies. You can
download the tarball and unpack it in /usr/local or /opt if you want to check.

Checked with nightly, bug is basically the same!

Tested with vanilla Firefox 1.0 on Fedora Core 3:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
No such problem on the test page with this version. Can you:
a) repeat the original test in case the page has been updated.
b) test on the same box with the official 1.0.2 build from Mozilla.

It seems to only appear sometimes, and sometimes not... I don't know what causes
it...
Yes, it's still here.
Why do you want me to test the official 1.0.2 build? Isn't 1.0.3 better? Or even
nightly? Cause I did try the nightly, and I've had this bug for a while, just
didn't think it hadn't been reported...

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
