This is a commercial real estate database subscription service and no access is
allowed to Firefox users.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. login to url
2. receive error message that site is restricted to IE 5.0 or greater
3. annoying

Actual Results:  
Can get no further than homepage as the login info is not available to Firefox user.

Expected Results:  
Would expect to be able to login to site and use Firefox to browse same.

Contact CoStar, Inc. to determine why IE is required. Thanks.

Yeah, this sure seems to be a problem. The header of the site has this image in it:

http://www.costar.com/images/home/browser_message.gif

which says, "Your browser is incompatible with CoStar's Web-based subscription products. Please contact Customer Support a 1-800-613-1303 for more information."

James, do you still have a need to use CoStar? If so, did you ever contact them to ask why they refuse to allow 40% of their customers (based on an IE market share of about 60%, meaning that 40% of people are not using IE) to access their site?

INCOMPLETE due to lack of activity since the end of 2009.

If someone is willing to investigate the issues raised in this bug to determine whether they still exist, *and* work with the site in question to fix any existing issues, please feel free to re-open and assign to yourself.
