Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.6) Gecko/20050317 Firefox/1.0.2 In attempting to install a critical update, an error occurred. The error message delivery system is poory written so any message long enough to describe the problem scrolls off the viewing pane to the right side in stead of using more than one line of text. My error message reads: "Firefox 1.0.3 (en-US) Software Update (Not a valid i..." This is a very basic coding error that makes this important reporting feature nearly useless. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Fun Firefox 2.Wait for update engine to run 3. Actual Results: The Firefox Update program runs and errors out. Expected Results: In the event of an error, the error report should describe the problem in a sway that a technical user can understand what has failed and can then communicate this to the programming team at Mozilla.
