Unnecessary vertical scrollbar appears when resizing height of Mail composer
address list.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Open Mail composition window
2. grab the horizontal splitter and drag it down, then up

ACTUAL RESULTS:
Vertical scrollbar appears/disappears at regular intervals. See screenshot.

PLATFORMS & BUILDS TESTED:
Bug occurs in Mozilla nightly trunk 2005-04-18-05 on Linux (GTK1).

Bug also occurs in Mozilla 1.7.3 and 1.5 on Linux so it's not a regression.
Same for bug 290865 BTW.

The STR in comment #0 don't give me any scrollbar (the addressees pane being empty).

I can't reduce height to less than the total chrome height, which I think is normal.

I tested this with the EarlyBlue theme, not with either of the built-in themes; also, I'm on linux-x86_64, not linux-i686.

Mats, if you still see this in current versions, please paste the "User agent" and "Build identifier" lines as found at the bottom of the about: page.

Oops: I see the bug when resizing the address list pane, not when resizing the whole composition window.

I notice that the scrollbar appears fleetingly (in this SeaMonkey build, same as in comment #5) when the height of the address list is an integer number of lines (or maybe within one pixel but no more). When it isn't, I see no scrollbar (unless, of course, there are too many addresses for the current height of the pane).
