firefox cannot connnect while IExplorer can. so its not a cable modem issue or
lack of internet connection. firefox cannot find any URL. i had to reinstall
1.03 several times. it happened with 1.02 as well. never happened with 0.0 or
1.o release. this is a new problem for me and i don't want to use microsoft
products whenever i don't have to.

error  dialog. connection not allowed
Have you a firewall? Have you told it to let v1.03 of firefox.exe out onto the
internet?

Odds are it's a Firewall issue.
