Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414 Firefox/1.0.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414 Firefox/1.0.3

At work we use a username/password-protected proxy. The check for updates fails
when not yet authenticated to this proxy. Once I've authenticated, the check
performs normally.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
- Start up firefox (1.0.3)
- Go to tools->options->advanced and click on the 'Check now' button. This
update check fails with the message 'Firefox encountered problems when trying to
find updates for some items. Details: Firefox (default)
- Go to a webpage, and authenticate to the proxy
- Go again to tools->options->advanced and click on the 'Check now' button. This
time, the update check works.
Actual Results:
Update check failed

Expected Results:
Update check should've given the popup for authentication to the proxy

Proxy configuration is manual, and uses the same proxy for all protocols.
