I added a new POP3 account. No folders were created for the account, and the
account itself was not displayed in the folder tree. I can see the account in
the Account Settings, and I can see it in the File | Get Messages For menu. If I
get a message for this account, it's appearing in the Local Folders inbox.

Actual Results:  
Account and folders did not appear in the Folders Pane

Expected Results:  
Created account and inbox folder in Folders Pane

I noticed this first in a March nightly build, updated to 20050419 and it still
happens. I see three other folks have mentioned this problem on the forums.
Try this:
  Tools | Account Settings
    <account> | Server Settings | Advanced
      (x) Inbox for this server's account
Status: UNCONFIRMED → RESOLVED
Closed: 20 years ago
Resolution: --- → INVALID
