Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050419

When trying to scroll through message headers in Mail/News using the scroll
arrow/cursor key, up or down, deletes message headers instead of scrolling.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on message header
2. Use scroll arrow/cursor key
3. Message header gets deleted

Actual Results:
Messages are deleted
By "message headers" I'm presuming you mean the entry for the message in the
Thread Pane (the list of the contents of the selected folder).

Are the messages actually getting deleted? Are they in the Trash folder?

When the message is "deleted", does the list collapse, or is there a blank space
left where the message entry was?

If you move to a different folder and then back, are the "deleted" messages
still missing?

Actually, I was having so much trouble with that build I uninstalled it and
replaced it with v1.7.8. I haven't tried a newer version since the middle of
April. I will now reinstall the latest build and see if it still is happenning
on my machine.
