Empty statusbar pane for software updates

Details 
When new software updates are available thunderbird shows the biff but doesn't
show the icon in the statusbar. The pane will be created but leaves empty. See
screenshot for details. Confirmed this bug with trunk nighlty from 20050419.

Curiously I have no idea what I was talking about in the initial comment. It's a really long time ago. Mark, did we have such a statusbar panel sometimes in the past? If yes, it was removed and we should close this bug.
A quick bit of detection work in the cvs logs and it seems like bug 296940 removed this for us as the result of a rework of the software update system in bug 296868.

Therefore closing this down.
