Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-GB; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414 Firefox/1.0.3 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-GB; rv:1.7.7) Gecko/20050414 Firefox/1.0.3 This happened since I downloaded the 1.0.3 of FireFox and updated my systemm to 10.3.9 The extensions I already had installed stopped working. They also made FireFox unusable (if firefox was running with no windows loaded it was impossible to get a new window). I removed all extensions by hand from my library. Now whenever I select extensions and try to install one (by selecting an extension and clicking install, then after it downloads clicking instal again) nothing happens. I think this might be something to do with access restrictions to the library folder. Reproducible: Always

removing extensions by hand isn't something Firefox is supposed to work after, I think this is invalid, because you probably just did something wrong. In any case, more information is needed in order to get this fixed. The initial issue that got you to uninstall extensions manually sounds like more valid problem, although that may have caused by extensions.

I have the same problem in Firefox 1.0.4, running SuSE Linux Personal edition v.9.1. I know it isn't access problems to the folder, because it's under my home directory - besides, running "ls -lR | grep root" in ~/.mozilla doesn't return anything. When I try to install an extension, it comes up with the "Is it safe?" box, I click Install, and it shows me the empty Extensions box. I've checked, and there are no extensions in ~/.mozilla/firefox anywhere, either.

Reporter have you tried creating a new profile and installing extensions to that?

I have exactly the same problem with Firefox 1.0.4 as well as 1.0.6. He comes with the "Is it safe?" stuff and continues as described in comment #2. Also, when I get the javascript: console, it shows some errors saying that several things in nsExtensionManager did not have properties. These problems also occur when I try to install themes.
