When either receiving a newsgroup post or email, if any of the text lines are
longer than the line wrap set (currently 72), upon clicking on the [send]
button, I get an error stating that the message could not be sent.

The same error happens when replying, sometimes but rarely and on random
occasions the text will go beyond the right-hand set margin causing the same
error when sending. I've rectified the line be cutting it and pasting again
when it line-wraps correctly.

Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce

All newsgroup and email text set to plain ASCII only.
See graphically captured error at above URL.

The error can be corrected if I manually break the long line into two shorter
lines, in this example the problematic line underlined in yellow.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a

(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
