If running the desktop at 15bpp the throbber only displays while it is inactive.
As soon as it is supposed to be active it disappears, and only reappears when
inactive once again.

Also, the throbbers for tabs loading in the background do not display.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set desktop to 15bpp
2. Observe throbber is visible
3. Try loading page. Throbber is no longer visible.
4. Once loaded the throbber reappears

Actual Results:  
The throbber was not visible while loading the page.

Expected Results:  
The throbber should have been visible and doing the rotation animation.

This is on Debian Sarge (xfree 4.3.0.dfsg.1-12.0.1).

Switching to 16bpp or 24bpp fixes the problem, and it was seen using both the nv
driver and the ati driver.

Can the reporter please advise if this bug still occurs with a recent Firefox version.

This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.3 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
