291309 - Right click on jpg image, menu Save Image As ... yields a file name ending with .jpg.jpeg

Right clicking on ANY .jpg image (displayed stand-alone or part of a page) and
choosing "Save Image As..." yields a file name ending in .jpg.jpeg . I can
delete the .jpeg and save it as I wish. 
I have this problem with my PC but NOT with at least one other PC on which I've
tried this. Has happened with Firefox 1.0, 1.1, and 1.3. 
I THINK I had the same problem with Mozilla [Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT
5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113] but got instructions as to how to fix it. I
DO NOT recall what I did then to fix the problem.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Load a web page containing a .jpg image
2. Right-click on displayed .jpg image
3. Select "Save Image As...."

Actual Results:  
File name comes up ending with .jpg.jpeg instead of only .jpg

Expected Results:  
File name should come up ending with .jpg only.

Only reported bug (that I could find) that seems to be at all close is 255382.
