I'm suggesting moving 'Web Search' from the Tools->Go menu, 'Check for updates'
to the top of the tools menu, and remove 'Sanitize Firefox' from the tools menu
and create a button for it. I really don't think there should even be a menu
entry for it in the first place since there are plenty of options to not
sanitize, or sanitize on close.

Summary: Menu Cleanup → Menu Cleanup
IMO, Page Info should be moved to the View menu. It's hardly a tool, and "View
Page Info" makes a lot more sense. It should go below Page Source in my opinion,
like it is in the context menu.

Web Search (as a menuitem) is useless in my opinion.

That would make it a bit better.

I'm all in favour of a cleanup.
It's an ugly long list.

A verdict please Asa
Attached image No bloat
No menu bloat.

After seeing this pic I agree that the mail options need to be removed alos.
There is a button for this already so why have these entries especially when
the windows xp bug with registering default email clients prevents this from
working correctly on most computers.

Bug# 246143
Please comment as much as possible in the mozillazine discussion thread I
started earlier today, Bugzilla isn't intended for debate:
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=256103

Can someone also add the URL to the bug please? I'm not "sufficiently empowered"
;) Also: Bug 291800 should probably be duped to this or vice versa.
Mozillazine discussion thread added +other bug duped
(per previous comment)

Well in my opinion is Web Search useless. I click on it and nothing happens.
Well after many times clicking i saw that the focus was given to "search box".

Read mail and New mail is also a question imo.

Page info should maybe be in File menu?!

> Well in my opinion

As I mentioned in comment 6, please keep discussion in the forum and not in
Bugzilla.
A lot of other programs have 'Check for updates' under the Help menu.
This is not a bug but a design issue. We'll file a bug when we've finalized any
changed designs. The practical value of holding this bug open is slim and the
potential for this bug being a spammy, problematic, and unpleasant back and
forth is high so I'm resolving it but that doesn't mean that we're not going to
improve our menus (or unregress them).
